RECARO T/A SEQUENCE NUMBERS PROJECT

I'm in the process of making a list of all sequence numbers for '82 Recaro Trans Am's. Right now they simply don't exist anywhere. Well, almost true; PHS, Pontiac Historic Services, has the master list. I haven't tried to elicit their help in this matter, because I'm sure the answer would be "Just pay the $50 for each VIN and we will be glad to assist you." Well that's about $6 million, for all 1982 Firebirds..

I'm not convinced that exactly 2000 '82 Recaro's were made. PHS could answer that question for all of us, but they have better things to do. I only have a limited amount of VIN's and cowl plate data from cars, so this is still a work in progress. Every single VIN helps! Same with the cowl plate info, which is a small area with stamped codes found under the hood in front of the radiator. If you have any of this info on ANY 82 Firebird or Trans Am, let me know using this form, and indicate whether it's a Recaro. Fill in your email so that I can get back to you when I finish the sequence numbers list (but don't hold your breath!).
