Car #15: Norwood LG4, Ontario, Canada area, added 8/31/2001.
This looks like a great example of a doubly rare Recaro owned by Greg. First of all it's a Norwood
car which is the rarer of the two manufacturing plants. Second, it has an
LG4/MM4 drivetrain, which is the rarer of the two possible drivetrains.
Combine the two attributes and you have a pretty unique car. Adding to its
uniqueness is the fact that the gold areas have been redone in silver. The
door handles looked silver at first too but they are gold. The wheels are
swapped out. First pic is from 1983 before repaint. Last pic is a visor
tag which I think came from the factory, but not sure. Cowl plate says
"WS4", the code for Trans Am; I had never seen that before. I guess it's a
Norwood/LG4 feature. Norwood/LU5 cars have "LU5" in that spot, and all Van
Nuys cars say nothing at all on that line. Overall this is a great
condition example of these beautiful cars. |
